1. Who we are
Breffni Remediation is a free referral service. We do not perform mold remediation or any other contracting work ourselves. When you call, we connect you with independent, licensed and insured local contractors who provide the service directly to you.
Because we are a referral service, the main reason we handle your information is to connect your call to an independent contractor who can help. Once you are connected, that contractor's own privacy practices apply to anything you share with them.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us on a call. This can include your name, phone number, service address, a description of the problem, the type of property, and the best time to reach you.
Call information collected automatically. Our phone systems record details such as the number you called from, the date, time, and length of the call, and your general location based on your area code. Calls may be recorded for quality, training, and compliance purposes where the law allows it.
Website information. When you visit this site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, and advertising click identifiers. This is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar tools.
We do not ask for, and you should not share, payment card numbers, bank details, or government ID numbers with us. Payment for any work is arranged directly with the contractor.
3. How we use your information
- To route your call to an available independent contractor near your property.
- To confirm coverage for your address and match you with a contractor equipped for your situation.
- To review call quality, train dispatch staff, and resolve complaints.
- To prevent fraud, spam calls, and misuse of our service.
- To measure how our advertising and website perform.
- To meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
4. How we share your information
We share information only as needed to run the referral service:
- Independent contractors. When we connect your call, the contractor receives your phone call and any details you provided so they can help you.
- Service providers. Call tracking, telephony, hosting, analytics, and advertising measurement vendors process data on our behalf under contract.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights and safety of callers, contractors, or the public.
- Business changes. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state privacy laws treat certain advertising cookies as a sale or sharing of data. You can opt out of that use as described below.
5. Cookies and tracking
Cookies help the site work, remember preferences, and tell us which ads bring visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and many browsers let you send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a request to opt out of targeted advertising where required by law. Blocking cookies will not stop you from calling us.
6. Telephone and text communications
If you call us, we may call you back about your request, for example if the call drops before you are connected. If you ask us to contact you by phone or text, you agree that we or the contractor we connect you with may contact you about that request, including with automated technology. Consent is never a condition of buying any service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or tell us on a call that you do not want further contact.
7. How long we keep information
We keep call records and related information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including resolving disputes and meeting legal requirements. After that, we delete or de-identify it.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, such as access controls and encrypted connections, to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of targeted advertising and any sale or sharing of your information.
- Appeal a decision we make about your request.
To make a request, call +1-844-326-4757. We will verify your request using information we already have, such as the phone number you called from. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
10. Children's privacy
This service is meant for adults who own, rent, or manage property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, call us and we will delete it.
11. Contractors and other websites
Independent contractors are separate businesses with their own privacy practices. Links on this site to other websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for how those sites handle data.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the service after an update means the updated policy applies.
